Photographing France

I started photography and my own teaching website roughly around the same time. I wanted to share my passion for France and the French language, and I wanted to use my own pictures. So I learnt from scratch in colleges for adults, with books and different workshops.

My very first photo project was to travel around France and take pictures to show my students and prospective students the various things they could see, eat or try while in France or in French-speaking countries. It is an ongoing project.

I now have a Master’s Degree in photography. I have specialised in black and white portrait and social documentary photography during the MA, but I still photograph all the things that catch my attention, like landscapes, street scenes, food, people, surroundings… I keep a visual diary on Instagram @AnnieGentilKraatz.

Most of the photographs on this website are mine, or they have been at least processed or selected by me.

This page is dedicated to France, and I share here a few pictures I have taken there… Can you guess where in France they have been taken?
