Frequently Asked Questions

Can you learn French online when you are a complete beginner?

Yes you can. This is what a previous student said about his course:

"Annie has been a great teacher since day 1. I have been having Skype lessons around twice a week and my french has gone from level zero to a very good level in only a few months.
Her lessons are not only interactive but fun and efficient as well.

Cannot recommend enough!"

Will I progress as fast as with face to face lessons?

Yes. You can achieve similar results with online French lessons and you can also establish a rapport with your online tutor exactly the same way. Conversations and debates are as interesting online as face to face.

Why choose phone coaching?

When you have less time and are constantly on the move or just need a quick fix or simply want to practise speaking French on the phone (For example, if you have a job interview or a work assignment in French and on the phone). I would only recommend Phone coaching when students have already reached the intermediate level. Speaking a foreign language on the phone can be a daunting situation and I am bilingual so I can briefly switch to English to explain something and then revert to French. No stress.

This is what a previous student said about his phone coaching:

"Annie is a responsive, engaging and creative telephone coach who has a clear talent for building confidence. Highly organised and with a very good ear for language appropriacy and grammar.

Recommended!"
