Initial Assessment

Before you start a course , I assess your level and general linguistic background. This way we have a clear picture of what you know and what you want to achieve and I can create a course to match your needs.
To assess your level I use the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) as it is the language level chart officially used in the European community.

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

The Common European Framework divides learners into three main divisions that can be divided into six sub-levels:

A Basic User
A1 Elementary
A2 Survival

B Independent User
B1 Intermediate
B2 Upper intermediate

C Proficient User
C1 Advanced
C2 Proficient

The CEFR describes what a learner is supposed to be able to do in reading, listening, speaking and writing at each level.

These descriptors can apply to any of the languages spoken in Europe.
